SalsaGuac is the Cinco de Mayo recipe that you have to make
Looking for a delicious Cinco de Mayo recipe? SalsaGuac will become the must have recipe for any and every tasty occasion.
A delicious Cinco de Mayo recipe doesn’t need to have a dozen ingredients or complicated flavors. Whether you are throwing a Cinco de Mayo party or just enjoying a leisurely day at home, a simple, easy recipe can make the day even tastier.
Cinco de Mayo is more of an American celebration and isn’t necessarily highly regarded as a holiday in Mexico. Today, the day is marked with all types of events. From cultural experiences to food and beverage events, everyone seems to mark the occasion in some way.
Like many holidays or celebration, food and beverages often are the focus. For Cinco de Mayo, Mexican influenced foods often fill the menu. In many cases, salsa and guacamole are a popular choice.
There are numerous guacamole recipes. A traditional guacamole recipe uses avocados, tomatoes, onions, salt and pepper. Many people modify the traditional recipe.
Variations on guacamole are many. From adding extra jalapenos for spice to bacon for a savory note to pineapple for a tropical twist, the classic recipe can be adapted to anyone’s flavor preferences.
Since the recipe and ingredients are rather straightforward, even the novice cook can make this dish. Still, sometimes a short-cut can be appreciated.
For this Cinco de Mayo, Tostitos and Avocados from Mexico collaborated on a few recipes. These dishes would be delightful at any celebration.
Under the category, why didn’t I think of that before, SalsaGuac is that recipe. Instead of buying and chopping all the ingredients separately, the Tostitos salsa is the perfect substitute. Simple, easy and done.
Here’s how to make Tostitos SalsaGuac.
"Tostitos SalsaGuacYield 4 ServingsPrep Time: 15 minutes4 Avocados from Mexico, mashed½ cup Tostitos Chunky Medium Salsa1 ½ tablespoon lime juice1 bag Tostitos SCOOPSIn a medium sized bowl, mix mashed Avocados from Mexico, lime juice, salt and Tostitos Chunky Medium Salsa. Continuing mixing until all ingredients are combined. Serve with Tostitos SCOOPS for dipping. Enjoy!"
In this version, the recipe uses the Tostitos Chunky Medium Salsa. If you prefer more heat, substitute the hot version. Or, add some sliced jalapenos on top of the finished recipe.
While Tostitos recommends serving the SalsaGuac with SCOOPS, I would recommend serving it with Tostitos that have a touch of lime. The brightness of the lime pairs well with the SalsaGuac.
