Celebrate Father’s Day at these Disney World restaurants
By Megan DuBois
There’s no greater place to celebrate dad than Walt Disney World. With a plethora of dining options there’s certainly something to make dad happy.
Father’s Day is right around the corner and we are so excited to be able to celebrate dads of all kinds here at FoodSided. If you’re headed to Walt Disney World for Father’s Day you’re going to want to take your dad somewhere special to show him how much you care.
We’ve rounded up our favorite spots around Walt Disney World for brunch and dinner to take dad and treat him like the king he is. From extravagant brunches overlooking Magic Kingdom to a simple night of tacos, there’s something for every dad.
Here are our top Father’s Day dining choices at Walt Disney World.
Brunch at the Top at California Grill
If you and your dad love brunch then look no further than one of the most extravagant brunches we’ve ever had. Brunch at the Top at California Grill is incredible with a wide selection of menu options, all you can drink mimosas and a super yummy buffet line.

You’ll start off by going through the buffet line which features a fantastic assortment of charcuterie and California Grill’s famous sushi. Then you can order as many dishes off of the plated menu as you want. The dishes on this menu rotate seasonally, but if it’s available we highly recommend ordering the lobster omelet!
After you’re done with your entrees your server will bring out some of the most delectable desserts you’ll ever have at Walt Disney World! Brunch at the Top also features a live string quartet playing Disney songs, and sweeping views of the Magic Kingdom.
Brunch at Wine Bar George
Wine Bar George is one of our favorite dining spots at Disney Springs. If your dad is a wine connoisseur who also loves great food this is the place to go.

As a Father’s Day special, Wine Bar George is offering a one-day only item- The Dad Stack! This massive breakfast features seven layers of French toast, French fries, bacon, sausage gravy, chicken sausage, skirt steak and sunny side up eggs for the ultimate dad meal. Pair it with a glass of DIGBY sparkling wine, or a craft beer for the perfect brunch.
Lunch at Tiffins
If you’re headed into a park for Father’s Day try to make it over to Disney’s Animal Kingdom and eat at Tiffins. The beautiful restaurant is located just near the entrance to Pandora- The World of Avatar on Discovery Island.
Tiffins is serving some of the best and most creative theme park meals we’ve ever had. From delicious grilled octopus to their bread service and a fantastic dessert menu, you cannot go wrong at Tiffins.
One of the more unique things about Tiffins is that if you’re a first time guest they will take you on a tour of the restaurant after your meal to show off the different themed rooms and hidden secrets behind Disney’s Animal Kingdom. So really you’re getting a two in one with a meal and a tour!
Dinner at Frontera Cocina
Sometimes dad’s just want a simple meal of tacos. And while you can get those just about anywhere, Frontera Cocina is the best place to get tacos or any other type of authentic Mexican food at Walt Disney World.
Owned by renowned chef Rick Bayless, Frontera Cocina is bringing new and distinct flavors to Disney Springs. You won’t find your typical Tex-Mex style tacos here. We love the Carne Asada tacos which come with grilled steak, poblano rajas, black beans refritos, with queso fresco, salsa verde, guacamole, served with corn tortillas.
To drink you cannot pass up a great margarita, and we love the Frontera. The drink has all of the classic margarita flavors but with an elevated taste from the fresh lime juice and agave nectar adding a bit of sweetness.
Ice cream from Ample Hills Creamery

Dad’s love ice cream. It’s just a fact. If you’re looking to take your dad on an ice cream outing for Father’s Day you’re going to want to head over to Disney’s BoardWalk Resort to Ample Hills Creamery.
The little shop has some of the best ice cream at Walt Disney World, and the best part is that you don’t even need a park ticket to get there! Just tell the guard at the BoardWalk that you’re there for ice cream and they should let you in.
All of the flavors at Ample Hills are made in house and they will let you try as many as you want before committing to a flavor to purchase. We love the classic Ooey Gooey Butter Cake, which is vanilla ice cream with chunks of gooey butter cake scattered throughout.
You can get your ice cream in a cup or a cone, and we always go for one of Ample Hills house-made cones! Ice cream is always the perfect way to end a day celebrating dad.
Dining with a Walt Disney Imagineer

If you’re not going to be at Walt Disney World for Father’s Day but still want to celebrate dad in one of the coolest ways possible consider booking the Dine with a Walt Disney Imagineer experience for your next trip. This is at the top of our list for dining experiences that are totally worth the cost.
You get to eat at The Brown Derby at Disney’s Hollywood Studios or Cítricos at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa while chatting with a Walt Disney Imagineer about how the parks are created. It’s truly a once in a lifetime experience and one that every Disney fan should experience.
The spots for each day fill up quickly so you’re going to want to book this as far out from your trip as possible. If you dad loves Disney and how the parks came to be and the future of the parks reserving the Dine with an Imagineer experience would be a great Father’s Day present he will never forget.
