Subway is adding another game changer to its menu. The Pit-Smoked Brisket sandwich is so tasty that Texas barbecue fans were impressed.

There’s another reason to order a Subway foot-long. Just added to the menu, the Pit-Smoked Brisket sandwich is a tasty bite that impressed even the most picky barbecue fans. Are you ready to savor this slow smoked barbecue goodness?

Subway has been elevating its menu. From adding the King’s Hawaiian Bread to Beyond Meatball Marinara Sub, the fast causal restaurant chain is continually looking to innovate. The newest sandwich offering brings all the flavor of classic Texas barbecue without the tedious cooking method.

Launching today, the Pit-Smoked Brisket sandwich features slow-smoked brisket. With 13 hours of smoky flavor enhancing the tender meat, this sandwich looks to be a bold flavor that will entice many guests.

That slow-smoked brisket is topped with smoked cheddar cheese and zesty barbecue sauce. While some true Texas barbecue fans might want to skip the sauce, this new sandwich will have many guests mouths watering.

The sandwich is served on classic Italian bread. Given Subway’s bread choices, the Italian bread is closest to the plain white bread that is normally served with Texas barbecue.

This newest offering had Subway pushing the flavor boundaries. Barbecue fans can be hard to appease and the restaurant chain knew that it had to get the flavors right.

According to Len Van Popering, Subway’s Chief Brand and Innovation Officer, “We collaborated with some of the most talented pit masters in the country to create a one-of-a-kind taste experience that features the unmistakable flavor that comes from using real smoke and freshly baked bread.”

Although I haven’t had the privilege to taste test this sandwich, it appears that Austin foodies raved about the experience. Austin’s barbecue, especially brisket, is some of the best in the nation. If a Subway version can appease these barbecue fanatics, everyone should definitely try this new sandwich.

It will be curious to see if that brisket has a true smoke ring (the edge around the brisket). If Subway can accomplish that feat, it will definitely be a game changer for the fast casual restaurant.

The new Subway Pit-Smoked Brisket is available now through November 6.
