Holiday Wars premiere preview: Who’s stealing the naughty list?
If you love Halloween Wars, Holiday Wars will brighten your Food Network holiday watching season. Which team will earn the holiday title?
Food Network is making the holidays brighter with Holiday Wars. Similar to the uber popular Halloween Wars, this holiday version, with host Jonathan Bennett, will make foodies feel merry and bright. Are you ready to watch?
According to the Food Network, the Holiday Wars premiere episode, “Stealing the Holiday List” synopsis states:
"Five teams of cake and sugar artists face off in the first festive night of challenges. Host Jonathan Bennett asks each team to give their most jolly depiction of a heist involving the world’s naughtiest kids stealing Santa’s famous “Naughty List.” After all, if there’s no list, then everyone gets presents! Judges Shinmin Li and Jason Smith decide which team will go home at the end of the battle."
First, Jason Smith joins the judging table. With his quick wit, this season will definitely be festive. Wonder what catchphrase he will have; could there be rosters with holiday socks in the future?
The theme for the first challenge sounds quite entertaining. Given the skill of these artists, the naughty kids could be more fun to make than the nice ones. Wonder what these kids could have done to be on the naughty list?
Given last season’s Halloween Wars, it will be curious to see if the tasting element comes into play for Holiday Wars. While this element should be the tie-breaker, the judges could be a little tough on the teams. Will creativity or taste earn the ultimate reward?
