Top Chef fans make plans to head to Universal Studios Hollywood. The first Top Chef food festival is coming to the theme park and it is going to be epic.

Time to make some food travel plans. A Top Chef food festival is coming to Universal Studios Hollywood just in time for the kick-off of new Top Chef Season 17 All Star LA. If you have always wanted to see many of your favorite cheftestants up close and personal, this two-day event is the perfect opportunity.

Being held March 19-20, 2020 at Universal Studios Hollywood, the Top Chef Food and Wine Festival will feature food tastings, Top Chef panels, live challenges and more. In addition to general admission tickets, special VIP tickets include exclusive food and wine pairings, meet and greets and more.

While many Top Chef alums are often seen at various food festivals across the nation, this particular event should offer a Top Chef experience. It is more of a celebration of the aspects that make this particular food television show popular, not just creative, delicious food.

Given that Universal is looking to leverage its connection to other Universal properties, it makes sense that Universal Studios Hollywood would offer this fan experience. Looking ahead to the Peacock Live fan fest on March 28-29, it shows that fans want these immersive fan events which bring their favorite shows and properties off the screen and into real life.

While this Top Chef food festival is a first, it could spark other options across the Universal theme park properties. The Today Café is extremely successful at Universal Studios Florida. With the special Al Roker inspired rotating menu items, guests are enticed to go back time and again.

Although there is no Top Chef attraction at either Universal Studios Hollywood or Universal Orlando Resort, the concept could be extremely popular. Looking at themed restaurants, like the very popular Hell’s Kitchen restaurant at Caesars Palace Las Vegas, fans of the show want to step into that environment which they see on television every week.

Adding a Top Chef experience to one of the theme parks would hugely popular. While guests may not be able to do their own “Quickfire Challenge,” they could try some themed dishes.

Also, the idea presents many opportunities for the Universal culinary team to push their creativity. As theme park food continues to grow and become more elevated, the idea of a permanent Top Chef permanent experience could happen.

For now, Top Chef fans can purchase tickets for the Top Chef food festival online. Guests must be 21 or older to attend.

Top Chef Season 17 All Stars LA will premiere on Bravo on Thursday, March 19 at 10 p.m. ET.
