Lay’s new flavors give snack fans plenty of reasons to smile

Smiles are welcoming the New Year. Three Lay’s new flavors will be hitting store shelves and snack fans will be running to the store to grab an extra bag.

Are you ready for Lay’s new flavors? Sometimes the perfect, craveable snack easily brings a smile to anyone’s face. While everyone has a favorite chip or snack, a new flavor can encourage snackers to try something different. Are you ready to open one of these new Lay’s flavors?

Going into 2020, Frito-Lay commented that bold flavors would be on trend. After a recent Doritos announcement that remixed two popular flavors, it seems that Doritos aren’t the only Frito-Lay brand to get a new flavor twist.

Available this month, Lay’s will be launching three new flavors, Lay’s Cheddar Jalapeño, Lay’s Poppables Sea Salt & Vinegar and Lay’s Kettle Cooked Flamin’ Hot. Given the boldness of the flavors, these Lay’s snacks are definitely on trend.

The Lay’s Cheddar Jalapeño could the next perfect hamburger chip. While the jalapeño offers heat, the flavor isn’t overwhelming. The cheese balances it well. It is definitely a mild spice that is quite approachable.

Many people, including myself, love putting chips on top of a hamburger. The texture and flavor make a quite enjoyable bite. This Lay’s new flavor would be perfection on a hamburger. Truthfully, it would work really well with a grilled cheese, too.

The boldest flavor of the three Lay’s new flavors is definitely the Lay’s Kettle Cooked Flamin’ Hot. Everyone knows that the Kettle Cooked chips offer a bigger crunch because of how the chips are made. That process offers an additional aspect, more flavor.

The Flamin’ Hot seasoning is super absorbed in these Lay’s Kettle chips. By far, these chips seem to be the hottest flamin’ hot chips yet. During my recent taste test, the flavor was definitely extreme, but quite enjoyable.

If you can’t handle the heat, this chip might not be for you. For all heat fans, it might be a good idea to grab two bags.

The final new Lay’s flavor is the Lay’s Poppables Sea Salt & Vinegar. This new flavor is a nice addition to the Poppables line. Sea Salt & Vinegar is a classic flavor that works well in any snacking occasion.

In addition to the Lay’s news flavors, Lay’s is bringing back its Smiles campaign. If you recall from last year, Derek Hough and the brand kicked off the Smiles bags coming back to store shelves. While those smile bags bring happiness, the stories behind those vibrant smiles are quite moving.
