In addition to removing artificial preservatives, Burger King is focusing on food ingredients. According to the brand, “90% of all food ingredients at Burger King restaurants” are “free from colors, flavors, and preservatives from artificial sources.” Again, when food is food, not food additives, the food will go bad. And, that going bad is good for consumers.

Of course, many people will have a negative reaction to this photo and video. It is not pleasant to look at food that has gone bad. Still, this photo is a good lesson to any and every consumer.

Convenience is king and people want everything at their fingertips. No one wants to open a container of bread, see mold and have to throw it away. But, that moldy bread is a good thing. Maybe next time only buy one loaf of bread instead of stocking up on that amazing BOGO that keeps bread on the counter for 2 weeks. An informed consumer is a better consumer.
