Disney embraces sustainability with new collectible Epcot spork

Disney fans love their special collectible items. The new collectible Epcot spork might be one of the most sought after items at the 2020 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival. While this adorable souvenir is a must for Disney fans, it is a smart choice for theme park guests to think about sustainability.

When you go to a theme park, how many plastic forks, knives or spoons do you use? While plastic straws have been eliminated from Disney Parks, utensils are a necessity. During a menu preview at Epcot. Disney staff mentioned that this collectible Epcot spork was in development for a while. While Forkie from Toy Story might have made sporks cool again, the idea of a collectible, reusable utensil for the Epcot festivals had a great appeal.

Today more and more people are focused on sustainability. Whether it is bringing a refillable water bottle to the parks or choosing Impossible Burgers, consumers are more aware of the impact that their choices make. Even on vacation, people want to continue their lifestyle choices.

The Epcot Flower and Garden Festival runs from March 4 through June 1, 2020. The festival features character topiaries, concerts, outdoor kitchens and numerous other activities.
