While Amy Schumer might love food, her husband Chef Chris Fischer loves to cook. In their new Food Network series, the couple shows how the two passions blend together.

Amy Schumer often finds the humorous way of saying what everyone thinks. Her husband, Chris Fischer, is a celebrated farm-to-table chef. While it might sound like marriage made in heaven, a person who loves food and a chef, even the best of times can be a little feisty. In their new Food Network show, the couple gives viewers a glimpse into their home.

Currently, the Food Network has become must watch food TV. From The Kitchen Quarantine Edition  to catching up on food competition shows, the food-centric shows are comforting during these trying times. Whether people are getting inspired to cook more or just want to see some tasty dishes, the Food Network is pulling in more viewers.

The new Amy Schumer and her husband’s show is coming at a time when foodies are wanting more new programs. The self-shot show represents another trend for the Food Network. Similar to The Pioneer Woman new episodes, Schumer is shooting these episodes herself from her home.

According to Courtney White, President, Food Network, the eight, thirty-minute episodes will feature their quarantined life. “Shot entirely themselves, Amy’s boundless humor and Chris’ culinary skills show viewers how they navigate life while at home making the best of these turbulent times with some good laughs and good food.”

Anyone who has tried to cook with their spouse understands that it can sometimes be sweet and sometimes can be sour. Even though food brings everyone together around the table, there can be some chaos in the kitchen. It will be interesting to see the couple navigate the situation in their humorous way.

The series is said to focus on relatable dishes. From pasta night to brunch to even the dreaded fridge cleanup, the series almost draws a connection between the celebrity life and the real world. Just because you’re famous doesn’t mean that you don’t have real world problems.

Since this new series is premiering during these unprecedented times, Schumer said “With everything going on in the world right now, we are so grateful to be able to share an entertaining and informative experience with viewers. And it is more important than ever to look out for one another, so Chris and I will be making donations to causes dear to us – The Coalition of Immokalee Workers’ Fair Food Program and select domestic violence organizations.”

Even if you aren’t the biggest foodie, this new Food Network program should be entertaining. Right now, everyone could use a plate of comfort food.

The Amy Schumer and Chris Fischer series will premiere this Spring on the Food Network.
