Jose Andres joins Learn on TikTok to share his cooking tips

Over the past several months, many people have turned to TikTok not just for the entertaining dances or videos but to learn. Whether it was discovering whipped coffee or trying that pancake cereal, the innovation and creativity from these creators has inspired others to get in the kitchen and cook.

Recently, Tik Tok created a $50 million global Creative Learning Fund. In addition, the brand gave grants to “800 public figures, media publishers, educational institutions, and real-world professional experts.” The idea is that these channels will offer “creative, informational and useful learning material to TikTok.”

Jose Andres is one of those people who will be creating content for TikTok. While Andres has been a vocal leader through World Central Kitchen, he is one of the most creative and thoughtful chefs in the world. In addition to his passion to helping others, he can inspire many people to get into the kitchen and cook.

While the specific content is being developed, Andres said “From the science of food to the fundamentals to the whole family, from Michelin-starred restaurants to cooking with my three daughter, I’m looking forward to creating education food content for the TikTok community.”

The expansion of the Learn on TikTok platform adds a new level to this platform. By bringing in such big names, it adds authority to the platform. While the entertainment factor is still there, it is more. By balancing creativity with learning, a larger audience can be reached.

This TikTok expansion shows that more and more people are turning to social media platforms for inspiration. While the classic food television shows have been a staple, people want the convenience of being on their smart phone.

Additionally, the short, quick tips are easily digestible. Being able to see, learn and apply adds a sense of accomplishment. Whether people are more willing to step into the kitchen, cooking with a family member or try something new, a plethora of possibilities are available.
