Another culinary adventure awaits Gordon Ramsay Uncharted in Tasmania.

Instead of a fiery Hell’s Kitchen, Gordon Ramsay Uncharted heads to Tasmania to learn about the hospitality and culture of this island. Through these culinary experiences, Gordon Ramsay uncovers a new appreciation for the beauty of resourcefulness of the locals.

According to National Geographic, the Gordon Ramsay Uncharted Season 2 premiere, Tasmania, features the following:

"Chef Ramsay explores Tasmania, off the coast of southern Australia; he discovers the purity of the island, diving into shark-infested waters for giant saltwater spiny lobsters; avoiding venomous snakes in the bush while foraging for local herbs."

Being on an island, the expert chef, Analiese Gregory, and the locals need to be resourceful. It is more than highlighting the idea of sea to plate, these chefs show that food which has been untouched needs to be celebrated. The purity of flavors and ingredients is highlighted.

Although many of the ingredients highlighted in this episode might not be found in a local grocery store, there are similarities to other more common ingredients. Many of the culinary ideas can be applied to all types of recipes.

Of course, many people watch these episodes to see Gordon in precarious situations. It is entertaining to see him dive for lobsters and avoid dangerous predators. These moments make for fun television.

This episode is filled with many humorous moments. When Gordon learns about the local scotch, everyone will have a great laugh. It will bring about a whole new set of Gordon memes.

Truthfully, the biggest takeaway from this Tasmania episode is not the individual adventures or even the final meal. The sense of hospitality serves as a great reminder. Welcoming people to the table, offering a gift to others or just sharing a moment of kindness can be lessons that anyone can appreciate.
