Raise a toast to Pride Month with these colorful cocktails
While Pride Month celebrations look a little different, these colorful cocktails are the perfect toast.
Although the parades might be virtual, Pride Month will be celebrated. Even with smaller gatherings can raise a toast with some colorful cocktails. Isn’t it time that everyone appreciates the colorful diversity all around them?
In previous years, many restaurants and bars held special Pride celebrations. In light of the current conditions, some of those celebrations are a little more subdued. While some locations will have special offerings, some people are looking to mark the occasion at a different locale.
For a simple, colorful toast, Barefoot Wine is offering its Pride Collection. The limited-edition four designs in the Barefoot Pride Collection are meant to “honor the strength and resilience of the LGBTQ+ community.”
In addition to the packaging, a portion of sales will benefit Free Mom Hugs. This non-profit is an organization of “parents and allies (that are) working toward full affirmation and equality for all.” Barefoot will donate up to $60,000 to this organization.
For Truly Hard Seltzer, the brand is looking to raise awareness and shine a light on inequality. The content series, Truly Proud highlights 16 individual stores that seek to empower the community. From cheering successes to driving actionable change, these stories seek to inspire beyond the efforts of those individuals.
In addition, the Truly Hard Seltzer has created a partnership with GLAAD. Truly will be donating $100K to the organization.
Since Pride Month is often a colorful celebration, everyone’s uniqueness deserves a moment to shine. Crystal Head Vodka is showcasing that colorful prism on its limited-edition bottle. In addition to the bottle, the vodka brand has curated several cocktails that are Made With Pride.
While the colorful cocktails highlight all the colors of the rainbow. Whether people choose the cocktail based on color, flavor or garnish, each and every sip is meant to celebrate everyone’s uniqueness. Sometimes it is important to be the standout in the crowd.
On Crystal Head’s Instagram page, the brand will be celebrating all the Made With Pride cocktails. Although everyone will have their favorite, one cocktail resonated with me, Lady Marmalade.
While many people might know that classic song, this cocktail could be the perfect sip to enjoy while re-watching the movie or having their own dancing at home. Plus, the touch of Aperol makes each sip perfectly refreshing on a hot day.
Here’s how to make a Lady Marmalade.

Also, some restaurants are toasting Pride Month. Orlando has long celebrated the LGBTQ+ community and Café Tu Tu Tango is raising a glass with its “Love is Love” rainbow cocktail.

The layered cocktail is both colorful and flavorful. Made with Bacardi rum, house-made mango syrup, cherry syrup and a Blue Curacao floater, the colors highlight all the colors of the rainbow.
Also, $1 from the sale of each “Love Is Love” rainbow cocktail will benefit Zebra Coalition. The organization benefits LGBTQ+ youth in Central Florida.
Just because the celebrations might look different, this year’s Pride Month celebrations are even more important. The world is full of a rainbow of colors and each vibrant hue deserves its moment to shine brightly. No one should dim that light.
