Busch Light Apple, ready to get to the core of refreshment
In the newest beverage innovation, Busch Light Apple gets to the core of refreshment.
Move over hard seltzers and frose, a new beverage is looking to be summer’s refreshment. Busch Light Apple is rolling out to store shelves and it is to crack open a can. Are you ready to try this refreshment revolution?
Recently, Busch Light has seen a surge in popularity. Both light beer drinkers and value drinkers are appreciating the classic beer brand. Still, the beer brand needs to look at innovation to continue beer drinkers to grab a Busch Light from the beer aisle.
For the first time ever, Busch Light has released a flavor innovation. Busch Light Apple brings natural apple flavors to a light lager. To be clear, this new beverage is a lager; it isn’t a cider or hard seltzer. It is an apple flavored beer.

While Busch beer has been around for 65 years, this new beer is a huge step forward for the brand and it is marking the occasion with a huge announcement. According to Daniel Blake, VP of Value Brands at Anheuser-Busch. “We tested this flavor and knew immediately that our fans would love the crisp, refreshing taste. Our fans have had an incredible reaction to everything we’ve done this year, and with this limited-time run we know they’ll be moving quickly to try it before it’s out of the market.”
While all the announcements are entertaining, the real reason to pop open a can is the taste. With the rise of fruit influenced beverages, this new beer seems to be on trend.
Given its launch in the summer, the beer is a nice sip on a hot summer night. Out of the can, the apple aroma is clear. It is almost as if you have bitten into a juicy apple. At the same time, there is a touch of lager that hangs in the air.
Poured into a glass, the color looks just like a light lager. From a distance, you may not be able to distinguish this beer from a classic Busch Light. But, a sip will definitely see a difference in flavor.
Overall, this flavor is quite nice. It is more like a honey crisp or a fiji apple flavor. The beverage is more apple forward than lager forward.
Thinking about the Busch Light Apple, it would be good with a cheese plate. Just like apples on a cheese plate, this beer could pair well with a variety of cheeses.
As for a full meal, consider a grilled pork loin. If you like apples and pork, those flavors work well together. It could even work with some ribs, as long as the spice rub wasn’t too strong.
Overall, the Busch Light Apple should be tried this summer. It is a limited-edition beer so if you see a can or a case, you might want to grab one.
Also, it isn’t available in all states, too. You could be the envy of your beer drinking fans who do not get to take a sip. If you can buy it, the beer comes in 12, 24 and 30 packs of 12 oz cans. Also, there are 16 oz cans available, too.
