Wawa adds plant-based Sizzli Breakfast Sandwich and it’s beyond tasty

Wawa fans have a new reason to make a morning stop, the Sizzli Breakfast Sandwich.

Many people know that Wawa is all about having it your way. The new Sizzli Breakfast Sandwich, in partnership with Beyond Meat, brings a plant-based breakfast sandwich to the convenience brand’s growing menu options.

The new Sizzle Breakfast Sandwich features Beyond Sausage. It is served on a bagel with egg and cheese. While this new sandwich is tasty, the Beyond Sausage can be added to other menu items, too.

The Beyond Sausage can be added to breakfast bowls, built to order bagel sandwiches and even breakfast burritos. Available via a touch screen system, guests can built a variety of menu items using the plant-based food. It is another example of having everything your way.

According to Mike Scherlock, Chief Product Marketing Officer for Wawa, “we know that consumers are looking for more plant-based options and we’re proud to partner with Beyond Meat.” This new menu addition is part of the Wawa Your Way initiative.

For people who have a Wawa in their area, they know that it is known for its large fresh food service selection. Whether it is a sub sandwich, a salad or a variety of other options, the brand has become a leader in the food and beverage space.

The addition of a plant-based breakfast item shows the growing demand for plant-based food options. The new Wawa Sizzle Breakfast Sandwich featuring Beyond Sausage is available in 650 stores in the Mid-Atlantic area. Florida locations will have this breakfast sandwich offering starting on August 10.
