Toast to National Lemonade Day with these bright, refreshing lemonade cocktails.

When life gives you lemons – make lemonade cocktails – especially on National Lemonade Day, August 20, 2020. Put me in a swing on a big wrap-around porch on a hot sweltering day and hand me a glass of lemonade and I will be so happy. Add a little vodka to the lemonade and I may be your best friend for life.

Lemonade is one of the easiest way to dress up a cocktail. Simply add some limoncello,  cava or prosecco, and/or amaretto and you’ve got yourself an instant summertime cocktail treat.

With only one month left of sunny summer days, it’s time to revisit classic lemonade cocktails. Gathering at the seashore this weekend? One of the best crowd-pleasing cocktails is the Frozen Vodka Lemonade Slushie. The secret in this recipe is that it’s made with green tea bags!  Refreshing and slushy, your guests will have fun sippin’ these as the tide rolls in. Find the recipe on the Sue Bee Homemaker blog. Berries and lemonade are a natural fruit flavor explosion. Add Empress 1908 Gin and watch your cocktail turn pretty pink. This gin has Butterfly Pea Flower in it and  that makes the beautiful color sensation in the glass.
