If you love avocados, the Belvedere Super Cocktail is a reason to imbibe.

For many people, choosing quality food and ingredients is vital part to their lifestyle choices. The Belvedere Super Cocktail celebrates carefully curated ingredients. With many people enjoy avocados on their toast, in their guacamole and in a variety of other recipes, this superfood cocktail highlights the concept of quality over quantity.

Belvedere Vodka is focusing on a concept that seems to fit with a growing food trend. The idea of Quality Over Quantity is simple, yet profound.

When people choose to imbibe, they need to make mindful choices. From quality ingredients to thoughtful consumption amounts, each sip comes with care. No one needs to feel deprived, nor do they need to skip the cocktail completely. Instead, it is about making the best choices possible.

Recently, Brian Stewart, U.S. Brand Ambassador Belvedere Vodka, hosted a virtual cocktail class demonstration that showcased Belvedere Vodka’s concept of Quality Over Quantity. While he explained the nuanced flavors of the iconic rye vodka and the importance of the vodka’s simple ingredients, it was more than just that background to the vodka brand. There were a few cocktails to be enjoyed.

During this demonstration, Stewart showcased the Belvedere Super Cocktail using avocados. While avocados are the superfood that everyone has in the house, many people do not use avocados in their cocktails. After learning about this superfood cocktail, it could be the cocktail trend that more people will embrace.

Here’s how to make Belvedere Super Cocktail – Avocado

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz / 60 ml Belvedere Vodka
  • 2 slices Avocado
  • .5 oz / 15 ml Coconut Milk
  • .75 oz / 20 ml Fresh Lemon Juice
  • .25 oz / 7 ml Honey Syrup
  • .5 oz / 15 ml Fresh Pineapple Juice
  • Coconut Chips & Chili Flakes

Method:

  • Build in shaker. Shake with ice and fine strain into Collins cocktail.
  • Garnish with coconut chips and chili flakes

Since I have made this superfood cocktail, here are a few tips. First, you need ripe avocados. The ice and the shaking is breaking the down the avocado. Think about how a mortar and pestle mashes guacamole. You want to make the process as easy as possible.

Also, uou do need to vigorously shake the cocktail. While any mixologist will tell you that strong shake is important, in this cocktail, it is vital.

Second, you can play with the honey syrup a little. While infusing honey syrup needs to be done with care, you could add a little heat to it. But, be cautious. The spice levels can grow as the honey syrup sits.

Third, it is important to strain this cocktail into the coupe glass. While you want the cocktail to have that avocado flavor, you do not want big chunks of avocado. Also, if you don’t have a coupe glass, you could use a martini glass.

Lastly, this cocktail is meant to be a slow sipper. As seen in the Quality Over Quantity initiative, it is beverage that is meant to be savored. Most likely, you will have just one cocktail and that’s a good thing. The nuanced flavors are meant to be enjoyed and pondered.

Personally, this cocktail is lovely as an apertif. Served with a little crudite is quite tasty. Also, you could serve it with an avocado forward dish, some sauteed fish or even a simple roasted chicken.

While the coconut milk adds a hint of sweetness, the brightness from the lemon and pineapple keep it light. Overall, this cocktail is a must try and will definitely impress your cocktail loving friends.

If you are looking to shake up something different in your cocktail glass, consider the Belvedere Super Cocktail using avocados. As you embrace Quality over Quantity, this cocktail is head of the class.
