Recently, I had an opportunity to try the new Wendy’s Pretzel Bacon Pub Cheeseburger. It is definitely a big bite. More importantly, the combination of flavors is on point.

While the Munster cheese is a nice change, the star is the warm beer cheese sauce. The flavor is rich yet nuanced. Combined with the honey mustard, it is rich and tangy. In a way, it is like combining two classic pretzel dipping sauces. Those sauces help to balance the richness of the bacon and fried onions.

The most interesting part of this cheeseburger is the pickle. That punch of brightness cuts through the bacon and lightens up all the flavors. When you get a taste of the pickle, it leaves wanting more.
