Bringing more innovation to the hard seltzer space, Bud Light Platinum Seltzer is said to be the beverage brewed for the night. From the flavor options to the ingredients, this new Bud Light beverage could keep the party going all night long.

The hard seltzer space has been growing tremendously. From Social Club Seltzer, which is inspired by classic cocktails, to Bon V!V, with its fruit and floral combinations, this category is more popular than any light beer.

Similar to all beverage trends, there are ebbs and flows. Whether it was the IPA craze, the fruit flavored trend or even the new donut-infused options, people are always looking for something new. It isn’t that the classic Bud Light has gone out of style. It is just that people occasionally want to see and taste the beverage innovation.

The new Bud Light Platinum Seltzer is the latest brand extension from the Bud Light Platinum portfolio. Available in three flavors, Citrus, Wild Berry and Blood Orange, the flavors tend to be a balance of traditional yet bold. At the same time, the three flavors have a wide appeal.

Looking at the three flavors, the Blood Orange variety is the most interesting. While Citrus and Wild Berry have more universal appeal, the Blood Orange should offer that perfect combination of sweet with a touch of tart. It could be quite refreshing and enticing.

According to Bud Light, they are describing this hard seltzer as “brewed for the night.” That designation could be for the 8% ABV for the hard seltzer. Often, a hard seltzer has a lower ABV, like 5% (although there are a few options over the 10% mark).

By making a higher ABV hard seltzer, this beverage could be that one beverage for evening. In a way, these drinks might not be the sitting by the pool variety where you have a couple over the course of a day. It could be more like that one beverage that you have with friends on a night out.

The Bud Light Platinum Seltzer is available now. Each hard seltzer is only 170 calories, 8% ABV, made with cane sugar, natural fruit flavors, agave and sparkling water. It is sold “12 oz. slim can variety pack 6-packs, single-flavor 6-packs and 25 oz. and 16 oz. single-flavor cans of Wild Berry.”
