Halloween Wars Season 10 premiere: Ready for a Monster Road Trip?

Halloween Wars Season 10 is here and a monstrous adventure awaits.

Are you prepared for Halloween Wars Season 10? Season after season, the most popular Food Network show makes foodies gasp in Halloween filled delight. From the tasty treats to the pumpkin carvings, these Halloween displays are always jaw dropping.

According to the Food Network, the Halloween Wars Season 10 premiere, “Monster Road Trip,” features the following:

"Host Jonathan Bennett kicks off the competition as six teams made up of an expert pumpkin carver, a cake artist and a sugar master dive into the first challenge: creating mind-blowing and spookily delicious displays of Halloween haunts taking to the highway for a monster road trip. Judges Shinmin Li and Todd Tucker are joined by actor Jeremy Ray Taylor to choose the winner."

On the first episode, the various teams need a little time to get into their groove. While some teams instantly gel, other teams try to find the balance of power. The tone on the first challenge could determine a team’s ultimate success.

Thinking about this week’s theme, the idea of a road trip could have these teams going extreme in their designs. If a team tries to make a motorcycle or car out of pumpkin or cake, the result could either be amazing or horrible (not in a good way).

While the visual needs to impress, the teams need to have a story to tell. Just because there is stunning sugar work or the biggest pumpkin doesn’t mean that the scene makes sense. The whole concept needs to be clear.

Lastly, these teams cannot forget the tasting element. Many times the difference between being safe and going home is that tasting element. Given this week’s theme, it seems possible that the tasting element will have to be road trip friendly.
