In this week’s Halloween Baking Championship episode, these cakes might be nightmarish.

After surviving the cellar last week, Halloween Baking Championship journeys upstairs in this haunted house journey. While that classic lullaby should bring sweet dreams, these cakes might fill the darkness with nightmares.

According to the Food Network, this week’s Halloween Baking Championship episode, “Ashes, Ashes, We All Fall Down,” features the following:

"The seven remaining bakers continue their journey through the haunted house to the creepy nursery. Host Carla Hall challenges the competitors to bake 3-D demon doll cakes with a diabolically assigned flavor to be judged by Carla, Stephanie Boswell and Zac Young."

This episode’s challenge is daunting. A 3-D cake takes tremendous skill. It is more than just a pretty decoration. These bakers will have to show their artistic side.

While Buddy vs Duff makes these types of cake look like edible art, these bakers need to have some idea how to create a 3-D cake. It is more than just three tiers and some buttercream.

Since each cake will have a diabolical flavor, it will be interesting to see what flavors are diabolical. Some people like a savory note in their cake. The idea of spice and chocolate is quite popular.

Maybe the flavor combinations could be most unusual. While the flavors will tend to be more fall based, Halloween Baking Championship has never shied away from a challenge. Could some food trends show up in this episode? Any want to see a mung bean cake?

Which bakers will move onto another room and which baker will be forever doomed by a creepy doll? Here’s how to watch this Halloween Baking Championship episode.
