While their rolls are always a good choice for a burger or brat, their Cinnamon Chip Brioche Style Cinnamon Chip Texas Toast is a tasty choice for a variety of recipes. From simply enjoying it with some eggs to making it into a rich bread pudding, the options are many.

One dish that my family has come to love is Cinnamon Chip French Toast Sandwich recipe. Given that breakfast is the new family meal and breakfast is one of bigger food trends, this recipe makes for a hearty breakfast or even breakfast for dinner.

Here’s the Cinnamon Chip French Toast Sandwich recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 4 slices Calise Bakery Brioche Style Cinnamon Chip Texas Toast
  • 4 slices thick cut bacon
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • Ground cinnamon and powdered sugar for serving

Directions:

  • Preheat over to 400 F. Place bacon slices on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil
  • Bake until crisp and brown, about 10-15 minutes, depending on oven
  • Beat 3 eggs, heavy cream and cinnamon in a bowl, Dip each slice of Calise Bakery Brioche Style Cinnamon Chip Texas Toast into the bowl, covering completely
  • Heat large skillet over medium-high heat. In batches, cook bread slices until browned on each side.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, scramble remaining eggs to taste
  • On a plate, top 1 slice of toast with 2 slices of bacon, ½ scrambled eggs, and another slice of toast. Repeat for the second sandwich.
  • Sprinkle with light dusting of cinnamon and powdered sugar. Enjoy!

Of course, this recipe can be modified in several ways. Personally, a thicker bacon works best and how you cook bacon can impact the recipe. You could even use some pork belly for a richer dish.

Also, the style of eggs can change. If you don’t like scrambled, use eggs that you prefer.

Additionally, the sandwich can be served open faced. If you choose this method, it might be best to omit the powdered sugar dusting.

Lastly, you can change the custard recipe to your preferred method. For example, I tend to add some nutmeg and all spice heighten the flavors.

Since this bread is gluten free and egg free, you can use other recipes that take into account lifestyle options. From a diary free choice to a vegan recipe, there are various ways to make a custard with out eggs and dairy.
