Usually, the Thanksgiving table is a bountiful feast. With the free Thanksgiving dinner program from Ibotta, many families will have a reason to gather, celebrate and enjoy a happy moment this holiday season.

While it is difficult to miss large family gatherings this Thanksgiving, a bigger concern sits on the Thanksgiving table. 54 million people struggle with food insecurity and may not have a Thanksgiving feast on their table this year. As the country struggles with the ongoing pandemic, many families have difficulty putting food on their table. It is more than just a special meal, it is a daily occurrence.

This year Ibotta is promoting a the free Thanksgiving dinner program. In conjunction with well-known brands like, Walmart, Campbell’s, Butterball and Coca-Cola, Ibotta will provide a free Thanksgiving meal that can feed a family of five.

According to an Ibotta survey, one third of Americans will spend less on Thanksgiving dinner this year. With budget constraints, people are realizing that they have to cut back on that traditional feast. Given those findings, this free Thanksgiving dinner offer can make a huge difference.

“While this year has been trying for so many Americans, Ibotta’s ‘Free Thanksgiving Dinner’ program is our way of making them feel extra supported this holiday season,” said Bryan Leach, CEO and Founder of Ibotta.

The program states that Ibotta users will receive “100 percent cash back on up to nine delicious Thanksgiving food staples while supplies last.” The offer is available via the Ibotta app or the Ibotta Browser Extension. All products can be purchased in-store, pick-up or delivery via Walmart.

While these free Thanksgiving dinners are a reason for many families to be grateful, Ibotta is doing even more. It is donating to Feeding America. That organization provides food to families across its network of 200 food banks and 60,000 food pantries across the U.S.

This Thanksgiving take a moment to find gratitude around the table. The gathering might be smaller, there might be screens instead of people, and there might be a slightly less boisterous feel. Still, there are many good things to be thankful for. And, next year, you will be excited to sit next to Uncle Al and hear that inappropriate question about why you aren’t married yet.
