Santa is ready for a new season of Holiday Wars, but are you?

Holiday Wars is back on the Food Network and this new season looks to be full of holiday fun. With five teams of cake and sugar artists looking to win the title, these creations are worthy of those sugar plum fairies. Who will be on Santa’s nice list?

According to the Food Network, the Holiday Wars season premiere episode, “Surprise Holiday Parade” features the following:

"Santa makes a spur-of-the-moment decision to kick off the season by throwing the biggest, craziest holiday parade ever! Raven-Symone hosts as five teams of cake and sugar artists compete to impress judges Shinmin Li and Erin McGinn, showing what might go wrong (or right!) as Santa’s crew launches the parade to jump-start the holiday season."

Thinking about this theme, the holiday displays could go a variety of directions. While Santa and his crew have a particular visual, the idea of a parade could take many different directions. Most like a whimsical winter wonderland will be clear.

If the teams have to create reindeer, it could be quite difficult. As seen in Buddy vs. Duff, creating horses (or reindeer) is one of the most difficult cake shapes. It will be interesting to see if one team takes on the challenge.

This season of Holiday Wars has a new host, Raven-Symone. While Jonathan Bennet has lead most of the “Wars” shows on Food Network, Raven-Symone could add some great energy to the show. While these shows focus on the displays, the host adds to the entertainment value.
