Starbucks Pistachio Latte is the must have sip of green gold
Part of the new winter menu, the Starbucks Pistachio Latte is the clear winner.
While everyone has their favorite Starbucks beverage, the Starbucks Pistachio Latte is the clear winner from the new winter menu. Although cold brew afficionados will be thrilled to enjoy the Honey Almond milk Cold Brew, one sip of the Pistachio Latte is a transformative experience.
Although everyone has a favorite Starbucks beverage, new menu items often bring much excitement. Whether it is a new version featuring an alternative milk or a colorful beverage that makes a stunning visual, that classic drip coffee often cannot compete.
The Starbucks Pistachio Latte is from the Chicago Starbucks Reserve Roastery. At these special locations, the creative team often highlights special beverages that have nuanced flavors as well as tell a story. For example, previous offerings, like the Juniper Latte, came through this path.
Looking at the Pistachio Latte, the Chicago Roastery team and Jennifer Galbraith created this special beverage. Having been inspired by the Starbucks Hazelnut Bianco Latte, the idea is to celebrate Italian nutty flavors.
Galibraith said, “some of the best pistachios are grown in the southern region of Italy. They call them “green gold’ – there’s even a pistachio festival in Bronte, Sicily.”
Looking at this particular beverage, the pistachio’s buttery nut flavors blend well with a robust coffee. As the pistachio flavors infuse the milk, the espresso shots find a perfect pair. With a touch of orange for brightness and the salty-sweet pistachio topping to balance all the flavors, this latte is a must try.
In some ways, this latte encourages guests to sip and savor the experience. Just like some people are starting to appreciate the coffee ritual, some coffee beverages need to be enjoyed for their nuance. This beverage is one of those items.
The Starbucks Pistachio Latte is part of its new winter menu. It is best to enjoy one before its green golden glory disappears.
What is your favorite Starbucks beverage? Do you always order the same beverage, or do you try something new time to time?
