While Anne Burrell has been a Worst Cooks staple over the past 20 plus seasons, her culinary partner has changed over the years. From the vivacious Carla Hall in the past season to the cankerous Alton Brown, Burrell has earned quite the reputation for getting recruits whipped into shape and earning victories over her fellow chefs.
As Michael Symon joins boot camp, the pairing of the two popular Food Network chefs could be culinary magic. While many people enjoyed Symon and Bobby Flay on their Food Network barbecue brawl, Worst Cooks in America Best of the Worst should be equally as entertaining.
Symon has an affable personality that makes him enjoyable to watch on Food Network. Similar to Burrell, that personality can make the harsh criticism more receptive. Expect the laughter to be on overdrive in this new Worst Cooks season.

Although the hope that former recruits have retained their cooking skills, the reality is that there have been probably a few steps backwards since they were in boot camp. Still, many people will be excited to see fan favorites returning to Food Network.
The returning recruits are Jonathan Beyer, Lulu Boykin, Jefferson Goldie, Domaine Javier, Stephanie James, Joey Kinsley, Sadie Manda, and Eric Smart.
According to Courtney White, President, Food Network, this set of recruits is full of outrageous personalities. White said, “This cast of characters combined with the fun of Michael’s eye-opening first time in boot camp with Anne make this season one of the show’s best.”
