Spring Baking Championship Season 7 episode 5 preview: Spring babies
Spring Baking Championship Season 7 episode 5 is getting the nursery ready because it is all about Spring babies in this new Food Network episode. While there might not be a gigantic gender reveal party, these sweet treats will make everyone smile.
According to the Food Network, Spring Baking Championship Season 7 episode 5, “Spring Babies” features the following:
"It’s a spring baby bonanza for the bakers when host Ali Khan challenges them to make desserts that look like gorgeous baby gifts and have spring flavor pairings like lemon and thyme, rhubarb and ginger, and kumquat and mint. After the gifts are baked, it’s time for the party! The bakers must create baby shower dessert towers to impress judges Kardea Brown, Nancy Fuller and Duff Goldman."
For the pre-heat, the shape of a baby gift doesn’t seem too difficult for these Food Network bakers. Still, the gifts better look pretty. From a nicely shaped bow to clean edges, no one wants their baby gift to look like a used gift bag.
While appearance is important, the flavor pairings could inspire some creative treats. Looking at the flavor combinations, kumquat and mint could be the flavor pairing that home bakers need to explore. These flavors are a little more innovative than traditional Spring flavors. Could you see a kumquat and mint dessert on the table for Mother’s Day?
While the pre-heat sets the tone for the episode, the main heat has caused two recent upsets. From Stephanie to Laurent, top bakers have fallen quickly. Could another upset cause a top baker to fall from grace?
As for the challenge itself, a dessert tower is more than just a pile of sweet treats. It will be interesting to see how the bakers showcase their creativity in this challenge.
