Caramel Brownie McFlurry is a huge win for McDonald’s

Move over Big Mac because the Caramel Brownie McFlurry is a reason to eat dessert first. The newest McFlurry flavor to join the McDonald’s menu is coming on May 3. Are you ready to mark the date on the calendar?

In the past year, McDonald’s has made many menu innovations. From the Spicy Chicken Sandwich to the upcoming addition of the McPlant, there is always a reason to head to McDonald’s or order McDelivery.

For over 25 years, the McFlurry has delighted guests. From the classic OREO McFlurry to the limited-edition options like the Chips Ahoy flavor or the season Shamrock OREO McFlurry, many people even head to McDonald’s just for a spoonful of that frozen treat.

With summer approaching, many people are wanting a special treat. From the warm sunshine to the exciting activities, it is a reason to celebrate.

Chad Schafer, McDonald’s Sr. Director of Culinary, said, “As our fans rejoice in the changing of the seasons, we’re excited to give them a new way to enjoy our most iconic dessert. In fact, the flavors in our new Caramel Brownie McFlurry are inspired by that first-warm-day-of-the-year feeling.”

What can guests expect from the new Caramel Brownie McFlurry?

According to McDonald’s, Caramel Brownie McFlurry features “cool and creamy soft serve mixed with fudgy brownie pieces and sweet, gooey caramel.” Thinking about this flavor, it seems almost as if McDonald’s blended the classic brownie sundae and put it into a McFlurry.

Although everyone will have to wait till May 3 to enjoy a spoonful, this McFlurry is unlike previous flavors because it blends the caramel and brownie. While both flavors would be tasty on their own, the combination of the sweet from the caramel and the richness from the brownie should make it quite indulgent.

While this new McFlurry flavor is a limited time offering, many people might petition to make this option, or even a variation of this option, a permanent menu item. Since McDonald’s already offers a caramel sundae, why couldn’t there be a caramel OREO McFlurry?

Lastly, since this Caramel Brownie McFlurry flavor debuted in Canada in 2017, it begs the question could some other international flavors arrive on the McDonald’s menu again? After the well-received international menu from years ago, there might be a craving for other items. McDonald’s could satisfy that taste of wanderlust this summer.
