Thanks to Uber Eats guac is free, not extra at Chipotle

Even Miley Cyrus has commented on the “guac is extra” at Chipotle but this month that Chipotle-ism is taking a vacation. Uber Eats and Chipotle have partnered to offer free guac. Isn’t summer even better with free guac?

According to Uber Eats, the free guac offer will be available June 3 through June 16. The side of guac on “us” is available with the code FREEGUAC. The offer is an Uber Eats exclusive.

As summer starts, many people will be wanting a little extra. Whether it is the summer of fun, the re-do summer or some other phrase, the reality is that people want to break free from the summer that wasn’t.

Even though everyone has fallen into the routine of that Uber Eats order, the special deals make that lunch or dinner choice even more enticing. That offer of free guac makes the decision to keep the stove off and the fun going easy.

Beside free guac, what else is new at Chipotle?

With June being Pride Month, Chipotle is supporting LGBTQIA+ organizations with Chipotle Queen of Pride and a special Chipotle Drag Lunch.

Chris Brandt, Chief Marketing Officer, said “For more than 27 years, authenticity, diversity and inclusion have been core principles of Chipotle. As a longtime supporter of the LGBTQIA+ community, we’re excited to leverage our real food to help drive real, positive change.”

The Chipotle Queen of Pride competition runs through June 16. This competition features Chipotle super fans Trixie Mattel, Kim Chi, and Gottmik and their favorite orders.

Available on the Chipotle app and Chipotle.com, when guests order these items, “with $1 of each entrée purchase benefiting the LGBTQIA+ charity of their choice, up to a maximum of $15,000 per charity.” Three different charities will receive donations. The most ordered item will receive an additional $10,000 to their charity.

The special orders include:

Trixie Mattel Pride Burrito

• This buritto features “Brown Rice, Black Beans, Fajita Veggies, Sofritas, Tomatillo Green-Chili Salsa, Cheese, Guac, and Romaine Lettuce.” This order benefits Trans Lifeline.

Kim Chi Pride Bowl

• This burrito features “White Rice, Guac, Steak, Fresh Tomato Salsa, Roasted Chili-Corn Salsa, Tomatillo Red-Chili Salsa, Sour Cream, Cheese, and Romaine Lettuce” This order benefits Human Rights Campaign.

Gottmik Pride Salad

• This burrito features “Supergreens Salad Mix, Brown Rice, Black Beans, Fajita Veggies, Sofritas, Fresh Tomato Salsa, and Roasted Chili-Corn Salsa.” This burrito benefits GLAAD.

In addition, guests can round up their check and donate the difference to the Trevor Project. According to the brand, Chipotle is committed to celebrate equality and “to foster a work environment that is inclusive of the LGBTQIA+ community while also attracting, retaining, developing, and celebrating their authenticity.”
