For one visit, guests might want to skip that Butterbeer and save room for all these tasty treats on the 2021 Universal Orlando Passholder Appreciation Days menu. While membership always has its privileges, these special food items are a reason to make a second, third and more visit before September 30, 2021.
Theme park annual passholders, especially Universal Orlando Annual Passholders, are a special group. Even though they come from all areas, it is like a unique family. From sharing favorite memories to knowing all the secrets of the Universal Orlando theme parks, the reality is that these theme park enthusiasts cannot get enough of the Wizarding World, Velocicoaster and even the upcoming Halloween Horror Nights 30.
From August 16 through September 30, 2021, Universal Orlando is celebrating its Annual Passholders. This special event is more than just handing out special magnets and buttons, it is giving those passionate fans a few extra treats that are just for members only. Even if you can remember that 80s jacket fashion, this year’s event is all sparkly and new.
What are the must try food on the 2021 Universal Orlando Passholder Appreciation Days menu?
Recently, Universal Orlando released all the tasty details on the Passholder Appreciation Days celebration. While many people might have booked their hotel for a quick getaway, some guests might want to get their appetite ready for all the delicious food offerings both in the theme parks and around the various Universal Orlando properties.
In addition to dining discounts for passholders, there are 16 special menu items to enjoy around City Walk, Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure and Volcano Bay. While it might be difficult to enjoy all the menu choices in one visit, there are a few highlights that need to top the must eat list.
At Universal Studios, Finnegan’s is serving the Malloney Stack. This menu item features “Premium grilled house ground beef patty, braised short rib, beer battered onion rings, ale cheese sauce. Served with wedge fries.” For anyone who is staying for Halloween Horror Nights this fall, this burger might be the best bet to keep that hunger at bay all night long. And, for beer fans, that ale cheese sauce is best paired with a Harp, which is on draft at Finnegan’s.
For a bold flavor option, don’t miss the Kimchi Fries at Mel’s Drive In. The spiced fries are served with sriracha and Thai Chili sauce. You might need one of those classic milkshakes to tame the fire in your mouth.
At Islands of Adventure, there are a few must have food items. Although the new Costa Rican inspired food around the Jurassic Park area is delicious, the Vegan Tots at Green Eggs & Ham are must try. For anyone who says that vegan food is boring, this dish will change their mind.
Always a passholder favorite restaurant, Confisco Grille is serving a Wagyu Beef burger. This burger features “candied pork belly and red onion jam, gruyere cheese, lettuce, tomato on a brioche bun.” The combination of sweet and savory makes this burger a delicious offering.
The pork belly offerings continue at Volcano Bay. Glazed Pork Belly Biano Pizza, with “Garlic cream sauce, mozzarella cheese, shredded cheddar, parmesan cheese, pork belly, fresh cilantro and sweet plantains.” is a different take on a white pizza.
Are City Walk restaurants participating in the Universal Orlando Annual Passholder Appreciation Days menu?
Even if you don’t step through the turnstiles, City Walk restaurants are participating in the big event. The AP Roll at Cowfish features “braised short rib glazed with Orange Togarashi BBQ, panko fried and topped with a Caribbean mango slaw.” Who says that sushi is just fish? Obviously, they haven’t been to Cowfish.
For a sweeter option, try the Peaches and Cream French Toast at Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen. This menu item is a cross between a meal and dessert with the “French toast stuffed with citrus agave flavored mascarpone cheese, topped with peach cobbler, whipped cream, peaches and vanilla ice cream.”
Of course, there is always a special doughnut at Voodoo Doughnut. This year’s special offering is “a yeast ring doughnut dipped in vanilla frosting and lemon powder with a strawberry icing drizzle.” It is a little pucker with a little sweet.
Lastly, even Starbucks has a special beverage. Don’t miss the Island Tea, which features “coconut milk with peach juice and raspberry, shaken and topped with passion tea.” It is the perfect refresher for those end of summer days.
Be sure to look around all of Universal Orlando Resort for special offerings. From the hotels to the theme parks, it is time to celebrate being part of the Universal Orlando family.
