While MasterChef Legends has been impressing foodies on FOX this summer, a recent announcement has many people excited for more culinary inspiration. According to Variety, FOX has just renewed the popular Gordon Ramsay, Aaron Sanchez and Joe Bastianich food television show. Although MasterChef Season 11 has yet to crown a winner, MasterChef Season 12 is on the horizon.

With all three core judges returning, it will be interesting to see how MasterChef Season 12 will set itself apart from previous seasons. While this season’s culinary legends add pressure to the competition, the show and its challenges need to evolve. Although each home cook makes a connection with the viewing audience, the challenges keep viewers engaged.

Although the mystery box challenge is an integral culinary test, viewers want to see the home cooks push themselves. After the past year where many home cooks honed their culinary skills, these dishes should definitely be restaurant worthy.

As Rob Wade, president of alternative entertainment and specials for Fox Entertainment, said, “this show continues to impress by sustaining Fox’s success on Wednesdays this Summer. We anticipate this momentum to continue next year when ‘Masterchef’ returns for a much deserved Season 12.”

This announcement comes after the reveal of the joint venture, Studio Ramsay Global. As this partnership moves forward, it will be interest to see how new themed programming will hit the television schedule. There is a possibility that a Gordon Ramsay influenced show could be on every day.

For now, food television fans will have to catch up on both MasterChef Legends and Hell’s Kitchen Young Guns. With several more new episodes on deck, the summer of Gordon isn’t over yet.
