MTN DEW Flamin Hot is the ultimate spicy thirst refreshment
For people who cannot resist the slow burn, tingle in their throat and urge to feed the flame, the new MTN DEW Flamin Hot beverage is the must have sip. Whether you choose to pair that drink with some Flamin Hot Cheetos or not, this beverage innovation could spark a new conversation. Are you prepared for this spicy sip?
The Flamin Hot category continues to grow. While the snack aisle is full of options, the reality is that people preference for bold, spicy flavors continues to grow. It isn’t that people just want to bring a touch of heat; they want to go to the extreme.
Whether that popularity was fueled by celebrity, culinary creativity or just a yearning to push the boundaries of flavor, people never want the word “boring” or “interesting” attached to their food choices. The reaction and impression are what makes people go back time and again for that invigorating flavor.
With this new launch, MTN DEW takes a new spin on beverage innovation. After birthday re-dos and Baja Blast updates, the MTN DEW Flamin Hot takes a cult following flavor and gives it a new identity. Instead of people going to a sip to quench the flame, now that drink fans the flames.
As Matt Nielsten, Sr. Director, Marketing, said “As a brand, DEW has a rich history of experimenting with new flavors our fans love. We certainly had them in mind when we developed the FLAMIN’ HOT beverage. This is one of our most provocative beverages yet, and we’re excited for DEW Nation to taste the unique blend of spicy and classic sweet citrus flavor of MTN DEW.”
When drinkers crack open a can, the flavor is set to be that classic MTN DEW citrus with a bold spiciness. Although this beverage isn’t available until August 31, it will be interesting to see if the flavor builds into the heat or the extreme flavor is the first note. In either option, the new MTN DEW Flamin Hot will become a must try.
This launch will be exclusively available via the DEW Store. It is the second online only beverage, following the MTN DEW Cake Smash. For fans who want a sip, it is best to watch the brand’s socials to keep up with the latest information.
Looking ahead, it will be interesting to see what other future flavor collaborations could be in store. Given the vast PespiCo portfolio, there are a lot of food and beverage cross over opportunities. Although Cool Ranch might not be an easy choice, who says that there isn’t some pickle or dill flavors being bantered about.
