Will you get the hottest reservation in L.A.? Chef Roy Choi and Cheetos are collaborating on the pop-up Cheetos inspired restaurant, Flamin’ Hot Spot.

Have you heard about Flamin’ Hot Spot? The second edition of the Cheetos pop-up restaurant is coming to Los Angeles. After the successful The Spotted Cheetah New York City event last year, Cheetos has taken a spicy turn for its West Coast incarnation. With the help of legendary Chef Roy Choi, this pop-up restaurant will have you taste buds on fire.

The Flamin’ Hot Spot is set to open its doors for just a three day run, September 18 through September 20. For this special event, Chef Choi and Cheetos curated a menu that evolves some of Choi’s memorable dishes by using Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. From rice bowls and burritos to elote and churros, this special event will definitely be a hot ticket for foodies.

Looking at the menu for this pop-up restaurant, many of the entrees channel late-night bites that are so satisfying. These choices combine both Chef Choi’s creative and fun side. Many of these dishes showcase his innate ability to highlight the spicy qualities of dishes while still being quite approachable.

Broken into three courses, I have a few favorites that I would recommend to anyone who gets one of these coveted reservations. First, I would start with the AP-PAW-TIZER of Flamin’ Hot Elotes. Elote is Mexican corn on the cob (a popular street food). The combination of the Flamin’ Hot Cheetos and the cojita cheese sounds delicious.

For a second course, I would recommend the Flamin’ Hot Burrito. This riff on a classic Choi dish will definitely be a big hit. Still, the other entrees of XXTRA Flamin’ Hot Rice Bowl, Flamin’ Hot Fries and Five-Alarm Cheetos Steak are also quite tempting.

Since every meal needs a sweet ending, these sweet treats have a little kick to the end of the meal. While the “Hot” Chocolate Shake looks quite tempting, the Chester’s Cheetos Churros have won me over. Who doesn’t love a fresh, warm churro?

All the ingredients and the recipe can be delivered straight to your door. Also, all of Chef Choi’s recipes are available on CheetosFlaminHotSpot.com. Who’s ready to bring some heat to the kitchen?
