Devilish desserts impress on the Halloween Horror Nights 30 menu
Whether the whirl of the chainsaw fills the nighttime air or the shriek of the Bride of Frankenstein breaks silence, the lure of the devilish desserts on the Halloween Horror Nights 30 menu will soothe the guests at Universal Orlando with their sweetness. Which decadent treat is too tempting to resist?
Given that this year’s Halloween event is the 30th anniversary of Halloween Horror Nights, the celebration is bigger than ever. While the savory menu items are inspired from the various houses and characters of Universal Orlando’s spooky event, the devilish desserts continue that story line. And, the Universal chefs even added a touch of humor to some of the offerings.
While the s’mores fries have returned yet again, there are plenty of other treats that are tempting that sweet tooth. Even though the Revenge of the Tooth Fairy might be lurking around the corner, the truth is that dessert might need to be eaten first.
Since the Tribute Store has returned, the themed treats on display are many. The classic candy apples, whoopie pies and more are available in the Tribute Store.
Also, Universal Orlando has seen much success with its mason jars. For Halloween Horror Nights 30, both Jack and Chance have their colorful treats. While these desserts are tempting, they might need to shared with a friend since they are quite rich. Or, maybe Jack has a twisted plan in getting people to eat a whole one on their own.
While Universal Orlando finished its epic churro stand earlier this summer (aka the Velocicoaster), a churro had to be part of the Halloween Horror Nights 30 menu. The Dulce Pumpkin Spiced Churro is a must try. The seasonal flavors in this filled churro might be the fall flavor winner.
Since Jack is taking over every aspect of this year’s event, his food offerings include two desserts to pair with that Jack’d Donut Slider. The Tiny’s Twinkies are Universal Orlando’s take on the classic deep fried Twinkies. And, there are Dr. Pinetti’s Confetti Battered Oreos. These battered and fried Oreos continue that fair food theme. Just remember, all that screaming does make you hungry for more sugar.
And, for people who prefer to drink their dessert, there are beer floats. Whether topped with an orange wheel or a piece of peanut brittle, these sweet beverages are a delight.
Halloween Horror Nights 30 runs from September 3 through October 31 on select nights. It is a specially ticketed event. The Halloween Horror Nights Tribute Store is open during regular park hours and those devilish desserts can be purchased during park
