That classic phrase of leggo my Eggo is taking on a different meaning with the new Eggo Frosted Maple Syrup flavor Pop-Tarts. With this new breakfast pastry, there is no worrying about spilling syrup on your shirt and the fork is left in the drawer.

Recently, Pop-Tarts has been offering a variety of new flavors. From transforming favorite desserts to celebrating culture, there have been plenty of reasons to enjoy another box of Pop-Tarts.

The newest flavor to hit store shelves will be Eggo Frosted Maple Syrup flavor Pop-Tarts. With a sweet, maple filling, this toaster pastry has a slightly different twist. Although that flavor option might be familiar, it is a new to enjoy it. Plus, there isn’t the stickiness associated with a traditional maple syrup.

The flaky, butter-yellow crust gives the visual of that classic waffle. It might not have the same texture, but it is a fun play on the waffle. With the icing pattern to mimic the classic grid pattern, the visual connection is even clearer. While a fork isn’t needed to enjoy this treat, it is a great play on a favorite breakfast food.

This collaboration offering seems to follow a bigger food trend. There have been more and more food mash-ups on the shelf. Just recently, Kellogg’s added a Wendy’s Frosty cereal. It seems that breakfast is the meal where food collaborations are taking over.

The new Pop-Tarts flavor will be available starting in December. An 8-count box will have a suggested retail price of $2.99. In addition, convenience stores will sell a two-count pack.
