It could be time to put down the holiday beer, skip another bottle of bubbles and pass on a glass of eggnog. These holiday vodka cocktails will add some sparkle to any celebration. Grab the cocktail shaker and a glass. It is time to sip on something special.

When it comes to holiday cocktails, sometimes it can be easy to find a way to transform that favorite spirit with a seasonal twist. Vodka can easily take on a variety of flavors. Since the spirit is quite mild, it begs the at home mixologist to add a little creativity to the cocktail.

While the names of these cocktails might sound like a celebration, it is the flavors that bring the holidays to the table. From tart and sweet to spicy and savory, there is a cocktail for each and every flavor preference.

Which holiday vodka cocktails will be part of this year’s celebration?

Most Wonderful Lime of the Year

While the song lyric is memorable, this vodka cocktail from SVEDKA will have many people cheering for another round. The combination of juices balance a sweet and tart flavor.

The interesting part of this cocktail is the chocolate bitters. Since passionfruit and chocolate are a delightful combination, this cocktail is one that will surprise many people. Even if you can’t carry a tune, you will want to learn how to shake up this vodka cocktail.

Holiday Vodka Cranberry

While a vodka cranberry is a classic combination, this holiday cocktail from King St. Vodka is more than just the traditional simplicity. The Aperol adds a little bitterness to offset the sweetness of the cranberry juice and simple syrup.

Plus, that garnish of sparkling water keeps the cocktail from being too overpowering. While some people might want to swap the sparkling water for a sparkling wine, it might be nice to keep it light.

Ingredients:

  • 2oz King St. Vodka
  • 1oz Aperol
  • 2oz Cranberry Juice
  • 1oz Lemon Juice
  • 1/2oz Cinnamon Orange Simple Syrup
  • Sparkling Water
  • Ice
  • For garnish; Frozen Cranberries

Method:

  • In a cocktail shaker with ice add King St. Vodka, Aperol, Cranberry juice, Lemon juice, and simple syrup.
  • Shake for 30 seconds.
  • Strain into a chilled glass.
  • Top with sparkling water.
  • Garnish with frozen cranberries!

Spa Girl Mistletoe Martini

Sometimes that canned cocktail can be transformed with a few extra steps. Even if popping open a can is a great choice, it can be more too.

This idea from Spa Girl Cocktails is simple, easy and quite tasty. And, if you prefer a lighter version, swap the Prosecco for a sparkling water.

Ingredients:

  • 3 oz. Spa Girl Cocktails Peach Vodka Cocktail
  • 3 oz. Prosecco
  • Splash of cranberry juice
  • Cranberries

Method:

  • Pour all liquid ingredients into martini shaker and shake over ice
  • Serve straight up in a coupe glass
  • Garnish with cranberries

Blue Stone Royale

While a Kir Royale is always a favorite, this twist has a little twist. With some blueberries as a garnish, the blue-ish tone adds a little burst of color to the sip. As the lights twinkle on the tree, this cocktail will sparkle in the glass.

Ingredients:

  • 40ml CÎROC Vodka
  • 20ml Lemon Juice
  • 10ml Vanilla Syrup
  • Top up with Champagne

  • Shake the lemon juice, vanilla syrup and CÎROC Vodka with ice and top up with champagne.
