While New Year’s Eve celebrations often focus on things being dropped, Krispy Kreme is flipping the script on the year ending tradition. Why not kick off 2022 with Raise a Glazed. It might be the sweetest start to the New Year.

According to the company, the Raise a Glazed promotion runs from December 30 through January 2. For $12 guests can purchase two Original Glazed dozens.

From sharing a dozen with friends or just a snack to keep the eye open till those “items” drop at midnight, the special offer is a tasty way to ring in the New Year. After all, those pesky “negative” resolutions are out. This year is all about the enjoyment of good food and good fun.

Is Krispy Kreme open on New Year’s Day?

For some people, staying up past midnight is not a common occurrence. Even though the fun and festivities of the night call, the morning after might be a little rough. But, will that red light be a beacon through the fuzziness of the morning after?

Luckily, an Original Glazed and coffee will be waiting. Although various locations are franchises and may have altered operating hours, the company is not technically closed for the holiday. It is best to call ahead, but it appears that Krispy Kreme is open for New Year’s Day.

Overall, it has been a huge year for the brand. Each month seemed to offer unique, limited edition doughnuts. From the frivolity of the carnival over the summer to the sweetness of the holiday offerings, there were plenty of reasons to head and get a dozen, or two.

Looking ahead to 2022, fans should expect more creativity from the popular doughnut brand. While the company might not go too extreme with flavor combinations, there is always a sense of whimsy and fun in their offerings. Just like the old phrase of a kid in a candy store, everyone seems to have a smile when they see the red light of a Krispy Kreme calling.

What is your favorite doughnut from the past year? Is there a flavor that you wish would make a return?
