Who hasn’t eaten a cold slice of leftover pizza for breakfast? While that food might be convenient, it might not be the most flavorful bite. Einstein Bros Bagels is putting a new spin on that pizza for breakfast concept.

Many people turn to Einstein Bros Bagels for both tasty and innovative bagel offerings. From creative flavor twists to always popular classic flavors, a baker’s dozen and a schmear can bring smiles to the first meal of the day.

Breakfast food trends are evolving. Whether is it breakfast for dinner or breakfast as a family meal, the truth is that the first meal of the day doesn’t limit the flavors on the table. From savory to sweet, the kitchen can whip up a bounty of deliciousness before the noon hour.

At Einstein Bros Bagels, the new Pepperoni Pizza Egg Sandwich proves that traditional pizza flavors can be transformed in a fresh way. Instead of a stale slice, this offering could change the pizza tradition.

As Chef Chad Thompson, Head of Culinary Innovation at Einstein Bros. Bagels said, “Our take on pizza for breakfast is a fresh-baked pepperoni gourmet bagel, seasoned eggs, melty cheese, loads of pepperoni and a kick of pizza sauce. Putting an egg on pizza sounds a little out there, but trust us, it’s delicious.”

While there are breakfast pizzas, with eggs and bacon, the pepperoni gourmet bagel seems to have many food combination possibilities. Beyond this particular pairing, why not skip the egg and add some extra cheese. It is a more flavorful version of a grilled cheese. Or, what about adding some sliced tomatoes or a few basil leaves. Sometimes new food items can get the creative juices flowing.

If all this talk of a pizza bagel has created a craving, it can only be purchased on National Pizza Day, February 9. It will be available “Denver West Einstein Bros. “pop-up pizza shop” at 14401 W Colfax Ave. In Lakewood, Colorado.”

And, if you aren’t in Colorado, the national food holiday might not be a slice above. But, maybe Einstein Bros Bagels could add this ambitious food offering to the menu in the near future.
