Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival celebrates California cuisine
While it has been decades since Wolfgang Puck started a movement with the celebration of California cuisine, Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival proves that fresh, seasonal, local food is always flavorful. In this year’s Disneyland food festival, guests will want to sip and savor throughout the delicious Disney chef offerings.
Running March 3 through April 26, the return of the favorite food festival features a variety of marketplaces, special events and new interactive experiences. Since food is often the reason why guests head to this Disney California Adventure Park event, this year’s offerings will be sure to delight everyone.
Although Epcot food festivals might draw inspiration from countries, the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival is focusing on a “range of communities.” By weaving personal stories into the feast, each dish has a unique flavor that unfolds beyond the plate.
Across the Festival Marketplaces, Disney Chefs are using “California-grown ingredients” as the focus of many dishes. From sweet treats like a caramel-peanut milk chocolate Mickey macaron to savory options like a carbonara garlic mac and cheese with peppered bacon, there will be a taste that tempts every preference.
With a plethora of local, seasonal offerings, the dishes show the bounty that the region offers. From fresh and light to robust and hearty, there is a plate that satisfies every craving.
In addition to the Festival Marketplaces, other restaurants and kiosks will offer festival influenced food. Even the Avengers Campus will join the celebration.
While there are many delicious delights around the festival, Disneyland made a choice to highlight a variety of diverse businesses in this annual offering. From women-owned bakeries to black-owned breweries and wineries, giving these businesses a moment to shine shows the commitment to foster a conversation beyond the plate.
Since an appreciation for food and a great palate is nurtured, the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival is using Disney Junior’s “Alice’s Wonderland Bakery” as a way to spark an interest with younger guests. The interactive guest experience will invite kids to decorate their own cupcakes and maybe even impress Minnie with their culinary delights.
Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival runs from March 3 through April 26. It is best to check with Disney Parks for pricing, availability and additional fees for special events.
