For many people, food and sports are always a winning combination. From the bowl of snacks that is always within reach to a sweet treat to celebrate a tremendous victory, there are plenty of food choices to pair with any event. With the Celebrity Crunch Classic, March Madness will have plenty of people celebrating the munchies.

During March, college basketball is front and center. Even for people who might not understand the difference between a pick and roll and a drive to the basket, the annual March Madness bracket challenge brings people together. Although different than the Super Bowl, people cheer for their alma mater, favorite team or just the thrill of correctly predicting the outcome.

When it comes to food and sports, sometimes the snacks take center court. While many people have their favorite snack, the reality is that special events can sometimes bring out that culinary creativity. From sweet and salty combinations to thinking completely out of the box, the options are many. But, everyone wants to score a flavor hit.

As Zion Doran, senior director of promotions at Kellogg said, “Cheez-It and Pringles know that delicious snacks are an essential part of fans’ college basketball-watching experience, whether they are cheering on their favorite celebrities in New Orleans or throwing a tournament gathering at home.” That sentiment captures what makes this time of year exciting. While the sport is the focal point, it is the event that brings people together.

What is the Celebrity Crunch Classic?

This year, the 2022 Celebrity Crunch Classic will be held in New Orleans on April 3. Facing off will be Shaquille O’Neal for Team Cheez-It and Drew Brees for Team Pringles. Joining the two captains will be various famous faces, including Rachel DeMita and Spice Adams.

For those in New Orleans, they can join the free event on April 3. Attendance availability is offered on a first come, first serve basis.

More importantly, everyone can join in the celebration. Now, through March 5 everyone can get excited about cheering on a favorite team. Using #CrunchClassicEntry fans can put their support behind Team Cheez-It and Team Pringles. Similar to how people fill out that bracket, people can throw their support behind their favorite snack, their favorite player or something else. No matter the reasoning, there are plenty of reasons to vote.
