CinnaFuego Toast Crunch brings the spice to the cereal bowl
Who needs a caffeine boost to start the morning when there can be some hot cinnamon cereal in the bowl? The new CinnaFuego Toast Crunch is a first for General Mills. Ready to bring the heat to the morning?
Cereal trends have taken many turns over the years. While nostalgic flavors have returned to the shelf, there is always room for innovation. Beyond the colorful cereal or connection to pop culture, many cereal fans are looking for bold flavors to come to the bowl.
With the CinnaFuego Toast Crunch, General Mills is bringing big bold flavors to the conversation. Given that Cinnamon Toast Crunch fans are always looking for innovative ways to enjoy their favorite cereal, this newest offering seems to borrow from other snack food trends. It is time to bring the spice and people cannot wait to get a taste.
As Mindy Murray, General Mills Sr. Marketing Communications Manager said, “CTC (Cinnamon Toast Crunch) is always looking to give our fans the most absurd and exciting experiences. So when we were thinking about what to do next, we realized snack time was a moment that could be spiced up. We can’t wait for CTC lovers to try CinnaFuego, and if they dare, eat it with some milk for breakfast.”
According to General Mills, the classic CinnaDust covers those squares, but there is a little hidden extra. The spicy pepper with the sweet cinnamon sugar makes for a combination of flavors that will set tastebuds ablaze. It might change how people look at cereal going forward.
Although this idea is not necessarily a savory cereal, it shows that cereal does not have to just one flavor note. This duality could revitalize many brands. Instead of some sugary cereals appealing to one demographic, there could be a whole new audience waiting to discover that tasty bite.
The CinnaFuego Toast Crunch is a Walmart exclusive. It is set to hit stores on August 12 with a suggested retail price of $5.48.
