Kellogg’s Pandora Flakes cereal takes breakfast on a flavorful adventure
As movie fans prepare to step back into Pandora with the new movie Avatar: The Way of Water, a new food option is waiting to bring a taste of that world to the table. The new Kellogg’s Pandora Flakes cereal brings a touch of movie magic to the bowl.
Recently, Kellogg’s has found many colorful ways to bring a little fun to the table. From colorful Rice Krispies cereal to the frosted chill flavor in the new snow cereal, there is plenty of fun in every spoonful. With this new offering, Tony the Tiger has a new great taste to bring to the table.
As Laura Newman, Senior Marketing Director at Kellogg All Family Cereal said, “Avatar: The Way of Water is one of the most anticipated films of the year. And now, Kellogg is providing fans and families with a cool and delicious way to celebrate the next chapter of this franchise with the drop of Kellogg’s Pandora Flakes cereal, an Avatar-themed spin on its beloved Frosted Flakes cereal!”
The new Kellogg’s Pandora Flakes cereal captures that Avatar world in both flavor and color. Mixed into the traditional Frosted Flakes are mini blueberry-flavored moon spheres. While the bright blue color is the first thing that people notice, it is the fruity aroma that has them picking up the spoon.
Thinking about this particular limited time offering, it is interesting that Frosted Flakes added a fruit flavor component to the cereal. While it has offered cinnamon and chocolate versions, the addition of a fruit flavor could lead to many new flavor combinations. Although the blue/blueberry connection to Avatar is clear, the bounty of fruit options is great. Just think of a strawberry and Frosted Flakes combination.
The Kellogg’s Pandora Flakes cereal is a Target exclusive through October. Other national retailers will offer the cereal in November. The 10.2 ounce box will have a suggested retail price of $4.99 and a 16.3 ounce box will have a suggested retail price of $5.99.
Avatar: The Way of the Water is set to debut in theaters on December 16. It is a 20th Century Studios release.
