2023 Universal Orlando Mardi Gras menu celebrates vibrant global flavors
As the band plays and the beads fly through the air, the good times are making everyone hungry. Luckily, the 2023 Universal Orlando Mardi Gras menu is full of delicious bites. With flavors from near and far, it is time to indulge in the bounty that the chefs have prepared.
This year’s Mardi Gras theme is “Mythical Realms of Mardi Gras.” Contrasting last year’s space theme, the fantastical creatures offer a journey into another world. From dragons to unicorns, the new floats will dazzle as they traverse the theme park.
Given the vibrant designs representing this year’s Mardi Gras theme, the 2023 Universal Orlando Mardi Gras menu needs to be as exciting as those creations. Luckily, the Universal Orlando chefs are ready to deliver on that promise.
Similar to recent years’ offerings, the 2023 Universal Orlando Mardi Gras menu features flavors from Carnaval celebrations across the globe. Although the complete menu has yet to be revealed, there will be 50 tasting-sized items to be enjoyed.
It appears that there will be some returning favorites. Items like the Crawfish Boil and Beignets are a New Orleans inspired staple. Although not mentioned in the announcement, it can be assumed that King Cake will also return in some aspect.
One new menu item mentioned is a Mofongo Flight. The classic Puerto Rican dish is inspired by Carnaval Ponceño. The trio should be a lovely introduction into the traditional Puerto Rican dish.
Another highlight should be the Black Coconut Rice Pudding with Mango. An Indonesian dish, this offering might be a hit for both its visual and its flavor.
Since there are a plethora of delicious food offerings, some guests might prefer to purchase a Universal Orlando Resort Food and Beverage Card. Annual and Seasonal Passholders can receive a purchase discount of $30 when purchasing a $150 card.
With the Universal Orlando Mardi Gras celebration starting on February 4 and running through April 16, there is plenty of time to enjoy all the food and beverage time and again. The good times are ready to roll, and it is best to get that appetite ready.
