While that all day rose sentiment might be the sentiment for the start to a great travel adventure, the toast to the good life does not need to wait till an arrival at the perfect resort. United Airlines understands that the whole travel experience involves not just the locale but the food and beverage offerings enjoyed before, during and after the trip. With the newest addition of Whispering Angel Rose, many people are ready to toast to the vibrant life.

Although travel has its ups and downs for many people, there are times when it can toast to the good life. Whether it is that moment of quiet or even just a sip that lets the daily grind escape from the mind for a moment, getting on that airplane can have an uplifting moment.

In a recent announcement, United Airlines shared that it is featuring Whispering Angel Rose as a complimentary pour in United Polaris business class passengers inflight. As Aaron McMillan, United Managing Director of Hospitality and Planning shared, “United Polaris delivers an elevated experience and we’re proud to now be the only U.S. airline that serves Whispering Angel Rosé. Whispering Angel is the top-selling French wine in the U.S. so we know it’s something travelers will be thrilled to see onboard just in time for spring break travel.”

While this news will have those select customers raising a glass, the addition is one of many changes that have come to the United Airlines food and beverage offerings. For example, the airline added new snack options from Undercover Snacks earlier this month. More snack options from Fruit Bars and Savory Snack Mix will debut April 1. Although some people cannot resist that Stroopwafel on that morning flight, the balancing eating food options are welcome, too.

In addition, United launched new kids’ meals. Available on flights greater than 2,000 miles where complimentary meal service is offering, the breakfast, lunch and dinner kids’ meals can make it easier on families. From French toast to chicken tenders to grilled cheese, it is one less thing for families to worry about on those longer flights.

The “Children’s Meal” option is available to pre-order via the United mobile app. It should be ordered at least 24 hours prior to departure.

As airline travel continues to increase going into the Spring Break and summer travel season, the little items can and do make a difference to travelers. Although many people might need a refresher course on the do’s and don’ts of bringing certain food choices onto the flight, the reality is that sometimes food can be a distraction. That mid-flight snack can be the diversion to make the hours pass more quickly.

In addition, the luxury travel market needs to address both the discerning guest and the business traveler who is a road warrior. It might seem silly, but having a bottle of Whispering Angel can be that little taste of something special to make the monotony of going to city after city better. Even that ice cream sundae cart can bring a smile to a weary traveler’s face.

For now, a favorite rose wine, kids meals, and new snacks can make flying on United Airlines a little friendlier. And, remember a smile and a kind word can go a long way during that trip.
