MasterChef Season 13 on FOX gets a premiere date

After bringing back familiar faces on MasterChef Season 12, MasterChef Season 13 is set to bring United Tastes of America to the cooking competition. When will fans get to watch new episodes on FOX?

According to a recent FOX annoucement, MasterChef Season 13 will premiere on May 24. With a summer of delicious food television on the schedule, many home cooks could be inspired to cook along with these aspiring chefs.

Although the new cast has not been announced, the reference to United Tastes of America takes a new approach to the popular food television competition. According to a recent FOX announcement, the season will feature “top home cooks from four parts of America (West, Northeast, Midwest and South) battle it out for their region.”

This new twist on the competition could change the final outcome. While all the regions should be equally matched, it will be interesting to see how the regions impact the cooks’ approach to food. Whether fans cheer for their home region or just a favorite cook remains to be seen.

Favorite challenges will return to MasterChef Season 13. The always popular, and difficult, Mystery Box challenge is back as is the Tag Team challenge. In addition, other new challenges include a State Fair Challenge, a Dodger Stadium challenge and more.

Gordon Ramsay, Aaron Sanchez and Joe Bastianich are back as judges. Any special guest judges were not revealed at this time.

MasterChef Season 13 premieres on FOX, May 24 at 8 p.m.

Following the season premiere, FOX will debut Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars. This highly anticipated new program is more than just a cooking competition. The show will have contestants proving their food industry entrepreneurial skills in hopes of securing a $250,000 investment from Gordon Ramsay.

As seen in this preview clip, these entrepreneurs need to show not only do they have a great idea, but they have to have business acumen.

Looking at the clip, some of the businesses might be known by some foodies. It isn’t that these companies might not have success, they just do not have a higher level of name recognition.

Looking at the Gordon Ramsay business endeavors, it is more than Michelin Star restaurants, partnerships with resorts, and various brands. The celebrated chef has used his reputation to create a well-respective empire.
