Finding a Mother’s Day gift that makes the woman in your life smile is not always an easy task. While jewelry might sparkle and a trip might be the ultimate escape, those extravagant gifts might not be in the cards. Sometimes a simple, sweet scoop served with a moment of quiet might be the answer. Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams unveiled its Mother’s Day collection, and it is time to place an order.

This year’s Mother’s Day collection includes several options, a 6 pint collection, a 9 pint collection, Not Now, Mom’s Busy Collection and Sundae Brunch Collection. For anyone who orders these ice creams, make sure to include a sign that says only for mom, do not eat.

Looking at the offerings, the Not Now, Mom’s Busy Collection is about those sweet indulgences. It is a collection of desserts, like Boston Crème Pie and Pineapple Upside Down Cake, plus takes on breakfast like Jelly Donut and Skillet Cinnamon Roll. On Mother’s Day, it is totally permissible for mom to have ice cream for breakfast.

Building on that idea, the Sundae Brunch Collection might be for Mother’s Day, but others might want to place an order for themselves. Filled with options like Sweet Cream Biscuits and Peach Jam, Coffee with Cream and Sugar, it is like brunch in a scoop. In addition, this collection comes with sprinkles and Coop’s Salted Caramel Sauce.

It is curious that the Brunch Collection does not include the Frose Sorbet. Given that mimosas are often a favorite brunch beverage, the frose pint could have worked into the whole meal experience. Maybe a few people might want to buy an extra pint to add to the order.

Speaking of the Frose Sorbet, there are many ways to enjoy this flavor. Although not suggested by Jeni’s, a scoop of the sorbet served in a coupe glass with a sparkling wine floater is quite delicious. Whether it is a brunch, easy afternoon treat, or a dessert, it is another way to enjoy that rose all day mantra.
