Many people cannot wait to start their day with that snap, crackle, pop. Whether topped with some fruit or eaten on its own, the classic Kellogg’s cereal always satisfies. But, one thing has been missing from that bowl, fruity flavor and colors. The new Kellogg’s Rainbow Krispies is a rainbow of flavor and fun to start the day.

Having options in the pantry for the first meal of the day is important. Even if every morning is cereal, it does not always have to be the same flavor. Sometimes are a little fruity, others are a little chocolatey, and some are just simple. With the new Kellogg’s cereal option, the cereal bowl will not be labeled mundane.

According to Laura Newman, senior director of brand marketing at Kellogg Company, families want that cereal bowl to do more. Specifically, she said, “when we discovered six in 10 Americans want to add more Vitamin D to their diets, we knew infusing this key nutrient into a fun, delicious breakfast option would be a great way to solve this need for many of our fans.” While this new cereal fills a hole, it adds a touch of whimsy to the start of the day.

The Kellogg’s Rainbow Krispies is the brand’s first fruity cereal. Although that statement might be a head scratcher given the breadth and depth of food offerings from the brand, it is true. As soon as people open a box, they will be greeted by both bold colors and an unmistakable fruity aroma.

While the color and the flavor have everyone talking, there is another change to this cereal brand, the shape. Instead of those small pieces, the size is a little bigger. It allows milk to almost fill the concave piece. It allows more flavor to be packed into every spoonful.

Of course, many people will be excited to see how to transform this cereal into a variety of desserts. Whether used on their own, combined with classic Rice Krispies or another fun creation, the possibilities are many.

The Kellogg’s Rainbow Krispies hit store shelves in April 2023. The 11.1 ounce box has a suggested retail price of $4.99 and a 17.8 ounce box has a suggested retail price of $5.99.
