Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast: Guests prepare for the ultimate battle

While the Wizarding World might immerse guests into a magical realm and the Velocicoaster has people soaring to new heights, an interactive adventure awaits at Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast. It is time to grab that blaster and prepare to battle the Vicious 6. This villain convention has prize for anyone up to the challenge, but it will take precision to earn a spot in that super group.

Universal Orlando understands that guests want experiences that bring them back time and again. While the extreme thrills can get the heart pumping, it is the interactive moments that blend the familiar with the new. As seen with Men In Black, beating that high score is a reason to ride again and again.

With the new Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast, guests grab their blaster and prepare to battle some of the well-known characters from the Minion franchise. While the moving platform transports them from room to room, they take aim with their blaster. Stocked with Freeze Rays, Banana Bombs, Explosive Nunchucks, destruction is optimized.

Although riders will be focused on hitting the targets, the characters’ voices will sound familiar. Universal Orlando had the original actors voice their characters for the ride. Actors include: Taraji P. Henson as Belle Bottom, Danny Trejo as Stronghold, Lucy Lawless as Nun-Chuck, Jean-Claude Van Damme as Jean Clawed, and Dolph Lundgren as Svengeance.

As riders experience this attraction, there will be strategies and methods to improve high scores. More importantly, many people will have to ride again and again to see all the intricacies of the attraction.

Since all the excitement can create a voracious hunger, the Minion Café has a plethora of menu choices that everyone will want to try. While the visuals offer a nod to the Minion’s playfulness, the flavors have people coming back for more.

Given that bananas are the Minions favorite, the fruit is featured at the various food locations, including Bake My Day and Pop-A-Nana. Banana popcorn is a unique experience, but one that should not be missed.
