While many people can remember their first Dole Whip enjoyed at Disney Parks. Whether it was a sweet treat after visiting the Enchanted Tiki Room or the excitement to enjoy one of the newer varieties that fill Disney food menus, the classic frozen treat has never waned in popularity. Ahead of National Dole Whip Day, these new Dole Whip recipes that can be made at home bring a bold flavor to the iconic treat.

Over the years, the classic Dole Whip has evolved from that first frozen dessert that celebrated pineapple’s sweetness. Although the freezer now has a branded option available for purchase, some people prefer to blend their own healthy eating treat at home.

Although some people might argue that the frozen treat enjoyed surrounded by Disney magic seems to taste different, there is something special about creating new Dole Whip recipes at home. There might not be pixie dust in that blender, but the creativity can spark some sweet memories in the kitchen.

One of the reasons why the Dole Whip has become so popular is because the frozen treat fits into various food categories. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and low-sodium are all descriptions of the Dole recipes. It might not be a perfect food, but it does feel very inclusive.

With the new Dole Whip recipes, the brand looks to take a notion that was at the heart of the original concept, to introduce people to the deliciousness of fresh fruits and vegetables. The hope is that a fun, engaging food balanced with great flavor will bring people back time and again.

What are the new Dole Whip recipes from Dole?

According to the food brand, the new Dole Whip recipes blend food trends and healthy eating. While the company has offered seasonal versions and single serving varieties, these new eight recipes seem to be inspired by the global love of the frozen treat.

Bil Goldfield, director of corporate communications for Dole Food Company spoke to the global appeal of the Dole Whip. Goldfield commented, “these newest Dole Whip recipes take that idea further by adding new farm-fresh fruits and vegetables like mangos, avocados, plantains, grapes and even spinach to the list of what’s possible to create more lifelong produce fans – and offer them in the universally beloved Dole Whip form.”

The new Dole Whip recipes include:

As the names suggest, the recipes are a journey across the globe. From the nod to the spicy Mangonada to the Asian inspired Halo-Halo dish, the pineapple frozen dessert can blend with a variety of flavors and cultures.

Given the popularity of the classic frozen treat, these new recipes are a wonderful way for people to explore new flavors, and possibly eat a few more fruits and vegetables. Some people might not grab a tamarind candy, but the sweet, sour flavor could be a new experience in the sweet and spicy Tamarindo Dole Whip.

All of these new Dole Whip recipes are available on the Dole website. In addition, the other existing recipes can be found online as well.
