DoubleTree by Hilton adds a new allergy-friendly soft chocolate chip cookie
While traveling can be exciting, sometimes the little touches make the experience even more special. At DoubleTree by Hilton, that warm, chocolate chip cookie is part of that experience. Now the popular hotel brand has added an allergy-friendly soft chocolate chip cookie so that everyone can have that sweet experience.
Over the years, the DoubleTree chocolate chip cookie has earned a spot in food infamy. Although the brand has shared its special recipe, the reality is that there is nothing better than enjoying a hot, fresh cookie when walking into the hotel.
Unfortunately, people with allergies were unable to enjoy that sweet treat. With the new allergy-friendly soft chocolate chip cookie, everyone can have that DoubleTree by Hilton experience.
As said Matt Schuyler, chief brand officer, Hilton said, “With DoubleTree by Hilton’s allergy-friendly cookie, we’re reshaping the concept of hospitality to be more inclusive and considerate. We’re serving not just a cookie but a promise of care and personalization for each guest who walks through our doors.”
According to the hotel brand, the allergy-friendly cookie, produced by Partake Foods, “is gluten-free, non-GMO, vegan, and free of the top nine allergens (wheat, tree nuts, peanuts, dairy, eggs, soy, fish, sesame, and shellfish).” Each cookie is individually wrapped and is available at check-in.
Given that more than 32 million people have food allergies, it is vital that large scale travel brands be inclusive of those guests. While many resorts focus on the unique, memorable experiences, it needs to take a wide breadth of travelers into account. One change to make the guest feel valued could have them booking another stay.
Reaffirming that statement, Shawn McAteer, brand leader, DoubleTree by Hilton said, “We hope the introduction of our allergy-friendly option, alongside our original cookie, reaffirms DoubleTree by Hilton as a place where human moments happen that make travelers feel welcome while away from home.”
While food and travel can be the escape from the daily grind, it needs to have at least a small taste of home to make guests feel comfortable. Whether it is this chocolate chip cookie, a favorite beverage, or even that preferred pillow on the bed, those little touches will make travelers choose one hotel brand over another.
DoubleTree by Hilton has served over 19 million of their iconic chocolate chip cookies. With the addition of the allergy-friendly soft chocolate chip cookie, they will be serving millions more.
