Chick-fil-A’s Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich is a QSR game changer

While Chick-fil-A has always followed its own path, the quick service restaurant’s menu has been relatively the same. The iconic southern chicken sandwich served with a pickle is legendary. Although some people might still lament coleslaw being removed from the menu, there is a new sandwich that might be a QSR game changer. Ready to try the Chick-fil-A’s Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich?

For some people, pimento cheese is a favorite. Often served between two slices of bread, the creamy, cheese is equally as good as a topping. Although every pimento cheese recipe is unique, it has been featured from grandma’s table to the Masters.

The new food offering at Chick-fil-A is the Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken sandwich. It is served on a warm, sweet honey drizzled bun with a custom-made creamy pimento cheese and mild pickled jalapenos.

Speaking to the new menu item, Stuart Tracy, Chick-fil-A Chef and creator behind the Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich, said, “We wanted to create a standout sandwich that would deliver a unique spin for our guests, without losing the classic taste of the Original Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich. The Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich uses ingredients and flavors our guests have never experienced at Chick-fil-A before, balancing savory, sweet and spicy elements using the highest quality ingredients. With our custom-made pimento cheese and specially sourced jalapeños, we hope to deliver a new and exciting sandwich our guests will love.”

Looking across the quick service restaurant space, no other brand has this food offering and it will set Chick-fil-A apart. Even though some people might think of the launch as a regional specific choice, it does showcase the versatility of pimento cheese. It might be time to put away those singles and focus on something with more flavor and texture.

Joining the new chicken sandwich is the Caramel Crumble Milkshake. The seventh seasonal milkshake to join the menu, the sweet treat features butterscotch caramel flavors, hand-spun Chick-fil-A Icedream, blondie crumbles and whipped cream and a cherry.

Again, when other quick service restaurants focus on the same seasonal flavors, Chick-fil-A stands out. While the servers might say it is a pleasure to serve the guests, it is often the pleasure of the guests to enjoy the food offerings.
